The Australian Sailing Team's Finn squad leaves for Spain early next month to contest the European Championships at Cadiz. The team of Jake Lilley, Oli Tweddell, Lewis Brake and Jock Calvert has been training hard under recently appointed coach Rafael Trujillo, who won a Finn sailing silver medal for Spain at the 2004 Olympic Games.

The Finn is often referred to as the power dinghy because it's best suited to heavier sailors. It has a proud history as the most enduring of all Olympic class dinghies, having first been sailed at the 1952 Helsinki Games and contested at every Olympics since.

In the video below, Tweddell - a former World No.1 in the Finn - explains the basics of sailing the big boys' boat.

For more information, see the International Finn Class website.
