Volvo OR: Latest images from Vestas 11th Hour repair

The port bow repair of Vestas 11th Hour racing appears to be progressing well in Auckland.

In the latest shots released by the team the replacement bow section from Persico Marine, in Bergamo, Italy has been offered to the cut-out hull section ahead of being bonded into place. The bow section is in a new frame from that which it was shipped from Persico, and the new section should accurately retain its build shape.

The area around the repair has also been tidied up, as can be compared with the original shots of the damage when the yacht was offloaded in Tauranga, three housr away from Auckland.
