The Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac Committee is pleased to announce that 477 invitations were sent out February 1st to returning Mac skippers for the 110th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac presented by Wintrust.
In 46 hours, 92 boats have registered! The 110th boat to register will be awarded the Limited Edition 2018 Mac Race Hat. The Mac Gear Store will be available on March 1st - plenty of time for customization orders to help your team look smart on stage.
Many updates on the technical and support side of the race should help registration be a fun experience. A special thanks to Tom Falck and a vigilant Committee. Additional pre-race support is available for new teams entering their first Mac. Mac Committee members will pair up with new Mac Racers to help answer questions on boat inspections, safety education opportunities, Chicago and Island logistics, and race-specific questions. If you would like assistance, please send a note to the Regatta Manager and we will be happy to help.
With demand for this year's race expected to be high, and space in the harbours limited, skippers are encouraged to submit a request for invitation promptly. Please note that your Harbor request will be added to the queue when full registration payment is complete.
It's only February, but watching the pace of registrations come through yesterday was mesmerizing. I'm glad to see the passion for sailing is vibrant around the Great Lakes! Consider signing up for the Bayview Race to Mac - (Cove Island Course) to compete for the CYCRTM + BYCRTM Trophy. Thanks again to Commodore Sigmond and Chicago Yacht Club staff for their support in hosting the 110th running of the CYC Race to Mackinac in July. We all look forward to extending a warm welcome to your team in Chicago.

Note: The April 7-8th SAS courses is taking names on the waitlist for Day 2. If there's sufficient need, an additional course may be added.
