UK 505 Association boat opportunity

The UK 505 Association has acquired an 'Association' boat and is offering this to a young team to campaign during 2018.

The boat is a Rondar in fantastic conditions which has been race prepared by Pinnell and Bax and comes with P&B sails and a specification equal to the championship winning boats of the last few years - all she needs is a keen enthusiastic team to put her through her paces this year.

We would like to hear from a team who would like to take this opportunity and have the chance to see what 5O5 racing is all about and to learn from some of the best dinghy sailors in the world.

If you are selected you will have use of this boat for the season. The condition is that you sail in the UK open meetings, UK National Championship, the 2018 World Championship and the Euro Cup event in September - and that you hand her back in the same condition she is given to you!

You could also apply to compete in the 2019 World Championships in Freemantle, Australia, next January.

To apply please email your written proposal to the class president at and tell us about your sailing achievements to date and why you want to sail our boat and what your objectives will be sailing wise in the 5O5.

You may have some questions before applying so please get in touch via the email above. The boat will be at the RYA Dinghy Show and we hope to be able to introduce the successful sailors at the show on the main stage at the show at 4pm on Saturday 3rd March.

We look forward to hearing from aspiring sailors soon.
