Inverness Marina has been voted the best small coastal marina in the UK.

The 150 berth marina scooped the prize at The Yacht Harbour Association's (TYHA) Marina of the Year Awards held as part of the new five-day London Boat Show 2018.

Winners of the awards are voted for by berth holders from the 160 Gold Anchor accredited marinas across the globe.

Inverness Marina also recently received four gold anchors in the TYHA's accreditation scheme which rates marinas throughout the world. Marinas are audited as part of the scheme with mystery shoppers and feedback from marina users also taken into account.

David Findlay, Marina Manager at Inverness Marina said: "We were all very surprised but delighted to hear that we had won the award and we'd like to thank all our customers who took the time to vote for us. We look forward to providing the same friendly service and welcome to all those who berth their boats at Inverness Marina, and to all the ever increasing numbers of visiting yachts passing through in the summer months."

"The award is the icing on the cake on top of our four gold anchors, and with further developments planned we hope to improve our facilities even more to become a five gold anchor marina."
