The Chicago Yacht Club, CYC Race to Mackinac Committee, Race Committee, and Flag Officers are excited for the 110th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac on July 20th for the Cruising Division, and July 21st for the Racing Division.
With a supporting team of many Old Goats, multihull and monohull racers and cruisers, the Mac Committee is here to help you prepare for the 110th Race. To jumpstart your planning, the Notice of Race and Safety Regulations links are listed below. Registration will open in early February.
Safety education and boat prep are of key importance for any offshore racing. Harken and the Mac Committee will make pre-race boat inspections free to you to help troubleshoot and address issues. We recommend that all crew participate in a safety at sea seminar. There are many sessions offered across the country and we highly recommend the International Offshore SAS course with Hands on Training.
US Sailing has outlined the differences in SAS courses, and options available this Spring.
