Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race 2017: The colours of a classic

With over 1400 sailors competing in this year’s event and so much emphasis placed on the super maxis and the rock stars of the race it seems fitting we also acknowledge the families of all the sailors, wives, husbands, partners, children and parents who all make sacrifices to let their sailors compete.

The atmosphere in Sydney is tense and anticipatory but in Hobart the celebrations take over with camaraderie and friendship among sailors being the overwhelming tone of the dockside atmosphere.
