The short version is that the International Jury has applied a one hour penalty against Wild Oats XI for the incident out in front of Sydney Heads on December 26, 2017. This means LDV Comanche is the winner.

The infringement, captured so well on television, not only demonstrated the need for care with port/starboard situations, but also upheld that LDV Comanche had luffed to avoid a collision, again, in keeping with the fundamental rules of the sea. Mark Richards went on to say that they 'respect the finding of the jury', so that rules out any further activity with the matter.

On another positive for the sport, and speaking of winners, Matt Allen's Ichi Ban looks like collecting their Maiden win for the Tattersall's Cup, and boy hasn't he done all he can to do to get there for so many years - cheers mate!!!!
