If you never thought you'd master the art of foiling then we've got news for you! New for summer 2018 at our Porto Heli and Vassiliki resorts, Ocean Elements are more than chuffed to be one of the first tour operators offering foiling courses for beginner and intermediate sailors and windsurfers alike.

Dinghy foiling at Nautica Bay Hotel, Porto Heli

If you can handle a Laser then you have to try out one of our amazing all-carbon ProVela F101 trimarans and one of our foil-adapted RS Aeros with glidefree foils.

The F101 originates from the experience of teaching foiling and knocking down the barriers would-be foilers experience. In simple terms think of the floats as stabilisers, a bit like you had on your bike as a kid, then you can imagine the concept behind using the trimaran hull and its advantages over a foiling mono hull.

The RS Aero needs no introduction, remaining one of the most technically advanced boats in its sector. Its super lightweight hull (at just 30kg) picks up on the foil and flies much more easily than other (heavier) boats might. At 9-10 knots, the RS Aero will instantly appeal to mono hull sailors or those wishing to try a glidefree kit.

Our team of trained RYA foiling instructors at our Porto Heli Beach Club will be more than happy to get you up and foiling in no time! We will be running our 'First Flight' course - a two hour introductory foiling course - and also our 'Sustained Flight' course - a two half day foiling course. Guests will benefit from a special Ocean Elements price. We have a sneaky feeling this is going to be popular, so make sure you book before you even pack your case!

Important facts...

  • Fun-factor - definitely 5 star!
  • Support RIB and VHF headsets supplied
  • First Flight course - 2 hours - £125
  • Sustained Flight course - 6 hours over two half days - £345
  • Where? At our Nautica Bay Beach Club, Porto Heli
  • Experience needed - level 2 sailing (high intermediate)
  • Minimum age - 18 years old

Windsurf foiling at Surf Hotel and Xenia Apartments in Vassiliki

Hold tight this summer as windsurfing literally takes off! We are one of the first tour operators to offer windsurf foiling and tuition in Greece. Our team of dedicated RYA trained instructors are ready and waiting to teach you the art of foiling. Aimed at the more experienced windsurfer, foiling gives you a real sense of weightlessness and speed as well as the ultimate buzz. You'll be effortlessly flying across the ocean at close to 30 knots - what's not to love?

New for 2018 we have two types of dedicated foil boards for you to try out - the Foil 122 and the Foil 147.

The Foil 122 is thin for maximum control with 100% razor sharp rail edges for early planing and clean water release, even when touching down. Designed purely as a foil board it allows easier control of the board, better performance and makes it more forgiving to foil compared to using a classic freeride windsurf board.

The Foil 147 is a balanced, stable foil board with a wider outline and wider tail for more power and stability. The 95cm wide outline coupled with a wide tail gives a super efficient shape that planes early and gives a high degree of control and leverage over the foil. The 241cm long board makes it more forgiving when dropping off the foil helping the board to take off.

Our onsite team of trained RYA foiling windsurf instructors offer two levels of tuition - our 'First Flight' course - a two hour introductory foiling course - and our 'Sustained Flight' course - a two half day foiling course. Guests booking these will benefit from a special Ocean Elements price.

Important facts...

  • Fun Factor - off the scale!
  • First Flight course - 2 hours - £125
  • Sustained Flight course - 6 hours over two half days - £345
  • Where? At our Surf Hotel and Xenia Apartments in Vassiliki

We look forward to seeing you out in Greece, up and foiling this summer!
