Menai Straits Regattas 2016 - Week 1

by Ian Scott Bradley 9 Aug 2016 02:14 PDT 1-13 August 2016

We have now entered our second week of our annual regattas. Last week brought mixed weather with one cancellation of the race through from Beaumaris to Caernarfon. This eventually took place on Thursday.

On Saturday it was the turn of Caernarfon to hold their regatta. On 6th August the regatta moved on to Port Dinorwic. This ended up with only 3 out of the 9 classes of yacht racing due to the strong breeze and strong tides.
