Etchells Australian Championship at Royal Brighton Yacht Club - Day 4

No racing... popular choice

Mid 20s from the Sou'west, a choppy seaway and the chance of dangerous and nasty thunderstorm cells was more than enough for the Race Committee to pull racing. Applause greeted the announcement, for it could well have been boat-breaking conditions.

Day Four of the 2016 Etchells Australian Championship from the Royal Brighton Yacht Club in Melbourne has become a free day. Perhaps it was a reward for everyone playing so nicely over the last three days.

True, the sailors would certainly prefer to be out there on Port Phillip.

Never mind, they will get their chance tomorrow with three races now scheduled from 1100hrs to complete a full series.
