One of the South coast's most popular and acclaimed biennial sailing regattas, International Paint Regatta, recently announced that Andrew Pearce has taken over the role of Regatta President.

Andrew brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience having campaigned a Ker 40 in the 2013 season, he is also a well-known face on the racing circuit having won his Class in the Fastnet, Cowes Week RTI and overall RORC seasons points.

"Andrew will be a great asset to the organising team for the eighth regatta next year. The event grows ever more popular and it's good to have sailors of Andrew's calibre involved in the future of the regatta." said Committee Chairman, Martin Pearson.

The Regatta Committee also announced that The Tall Ships Youth Trust will once again be the official Regatta charity.

Race sponsor and marine insurance provider, Haven Knox-Johnston, will be promoting the regatta on their stand this weekend at the Round the Island Race.
