Ocean Elements are pleased to announce a dinghy skills pro-coaching week with RYA Coach Simon Winkley at our specialist sailing centre Leda Beach Club. Simon is a well-respected sailing coach who delivers training courses across the UK and overseas and is a regular technique contributor to RYA Wavelength magazine.

This is neither a racing week nor an elite performance week yet something refreshingly different. Over 5 days Simon will work creatively with a group of 10 sailors to fully unlock a range of intermediate and early-advanced skills in double and single handers. Manoeuvres, boat setup and speed, tacks and gybes, spinnaker work, trapezing and other general skills will be coached and refined as Simon enthusiastically shares his expertise with the group. Participants should have at least an intermediate level of ability, equivalent to RYA Level 2 or above.

Every session will be engineered to cater for the specific needs of the individual, with typical wind conditions of Force 1-2 in the mornings increasing to Force 3-4 in the afternoons. Video analysis will be used each day, during après sail drinks, to show exactly what the achievements were and where the focus needs to be for further improvement. Each participant will take home a number of quality action photos from their time afloat.

A great range of boats are available, including Bahia, Omega, Vago, RS500, RS200, RS100, Laser and Pico. There will also be a chance to try out RS Cat16 and Dart 16 catamarans.

The week will include 5 days of coaching plus a free day mid-week to either relax or to participate in other activities such as windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkelling, diving, mountain biking, tennis, mountain/coastal walking or exploring an ancient historical site.

Accommodation is in the Leda Beach Club Hotel, with breath-taking sea views, swimming pool, sauna and a secluded beach. 300 metres along the seafront brings you to the charming village of Horto with rustic cafés and relaxing tavernas. The nearby town of Milina offers livelier bars and restaurants. The evenings will be a chance to either have time to yourselves or to join the group for a few drinks to round off the day's action.

Join Ocean Elements in the beautiful Pelion Peninsula this September for a unique and unforgettable holiday experience. With pro-coaching, excellent equipment, reliable winds and warm, crystal clear waters, they are providing the perfect platform for participants to treat their sailing skills to a full makeover.

The total cost - including half-board accommodation, flights, transfers, pro-coaching and equipment - is just £745 per person.
