Another beautiful day in Florianopolis, Brazil where the eleven boats of the fleet from Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Europe have disputed two other races on the water.
After a postponement due to lack of wind, about 14:00hs was begun the first race of the day. The wind ranged eight knots from the Southwest when the first start (annulled) was performed. In the second start (valid), the Estampa DelViento of Miguel Gonzalez and Roberto Martins' Carioca decided to take the starboard buoy in the first leg, which got them go throw the windward mark in the firsts positions. The Estampa DelViento managed to stay in first position throughout the race, arriving first to the finish line, followed by the Carioca and Norberto Alvarez Vitale Patagonia third.
Then at 16:00hs was begun a second race with winds of fifteen knots from the southeast. The winner of this test was Roberto Martins' Carioca followed by Dag Von Appen' Itau and thirdly Torbel Grael' Magia V Energisa.
Afonso Domingos, tactician of the Estampa DelViento commented: "In the first race we make unsuccessfully decisions and lost constancy. In the second race was different, we had a better start and stayed in the middle of the fleet. We hope that today we have better races, but the result will say if the manoeuvres and tactics were successful."
