New facilities at Weston Bay Yacht Club set for official opening

At noon, on April 18th, the new facilities at the Weston Bay Yacht Club will be officially opened by the Mayor of Weston super Mare.

WBYC received a grant from Sport England to add an extension to the Clubhouse for changing rooms, showers and toilets, and a training room. This work is now complete and ready for use.

At the same time, the existing areas have been remodelled and renovated to create a better space for social events and meetings.

The club is opening up its focus from a traditional yacht club, offering some of the cheapest mooring facilities, to become the home for all 'wind and water' sports in the Weston Bay area.
