Radio Sailing at the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show

This year's RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show will see the MYA showcasing the best that Radio Sailing has to offer to the Dinghy, Skiff or Keelboat sailor looking for a new challenge or an outlet to sharpen their racing skills. Our sport attracts and supports all level of sailors from club through to Olympian, along with aspiring to recognised yacht designers offering an inexpensive way to try their hand within the various International and National classes in the UK and abroad.

On any given weekend at race events throughout the country, you could bump into the likes of Richard and Kit Stenhouse (1996 Olympian - Finn and Musto Skiff Champions), David Campbell-James (1984 Olympian - Tornado), Rod Carr (2012 Olympic Regatta Manager and former RYA CEO), Colin Goodman (World Fireball Champion), David Hollom (2015 14' Skiff World Champion Designer), Brad Gibson (18' Skiff JJ Giltinan runner-up) and Tony Edwards (National 12 Champion) amongst a host of other sailors of all levels competing in this fantastic discipline of our sport.

On hand this year to guide you through what we have to offer is 8 time World Champion skipper and designer Graham Bantock, Designer and skipper David Hollom, Sailmaker Nigel Brown and a host of current experienced skippers and MYA officials ready to welcome you.

There were family battles between father and son, or brothers Datchet Radio Sailing are the hosts for the IOM World Championships in 2026 and put on stellar conditions for this round of the district championships. 22 skippers entered for the event, last hosted here in 1975 For those not too familiar with these: a small boat whereby the hull is of a restricted size and fits in a wooden box of 36 inches long by 11' x 8. A dip in the loch was required for one competitor to retrieve a lost keel The 2025 MYA Scottish District IOM Travellers 1 event took place at Kinghorn Loch on 17th May 2025. The event was hosted by the Kinghorn Radio Sailing Club. Richard Ennos (RO) welcomed the thirteen competitors to the event and gave the skipper's briefing.
