Spinlock will also be busy showcasing the amazing Nacra 20 FCS at the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show. Billed as the ultimate "flying" racing catamaran, designed for both course and inshore/coastal distance racing, this 20-foot foiling machine is likely to be a star attraction at the show.

Chosen as one of their training boats by BAR Racing (Ben Ainslie Racing) the NACRA 20FCS is fitted with a "Flight Control System", which gives teams the ability to make alterations on the water during flight to find the groove you are looking for and fly over water to leave others behind. Designed with the legendary Morelli & Melvin multihull specialists, with enough wind you will not even be using the gennaker downwind and still be foiling.

All composite component toolings are CNC milled for accurate shape and high quality/low weight finish, whilst the hulls are build out of a full carbon fiber sandwich construction with a pre-moulded shaped core. FCS Main Foil, FCS T-rudder, Rudder- system, Spi-pole, Boom and Mast are built with state of the art full carbon fiber construction as well.

UK importer Grant Piggot and his team from GP Sails will be on hand at the Show to talk you through the full specification and arrange a test flight!

Spinlock to launch Wing and Foil PFD buoyancy aids

Launching at the Suzuki RYA Dinghy Show (28 February – 01 March, Alexandra Palace, London); Spinlock will showcase a new category of 50N personal flotation devices as part of its growing Deckware collection (Stand B80).

With sailors increasingly on board faster and more technical keelboats and dinghies, their requirement for PFD's to perform at the highest level of athleticism, required a fresh approach to PFD design.

Focusing on high speed, high impact and high agility sports, the two styles WING and FOIL have been developed to provide the latest in PFD equipment for this new generation of sailing. The compact minimalist design of the new 50N flotation vests provide the required buoyancy with little impact on the crew's performance in high action situations.

WING (side zip) and FOIL (front zip) both use new stretch materials to ensure a close body fit. Tapered foam and tailoring, coupled with snag free hidden adjustment, offer an ultra-low profile finish.

Distinctive in their monochrome colour block and structured shaping, WING and FOIL both offer streamlined pockets, internal grip print, and 'dry coated' materials to reduce water absorption.

BAR (Ben Ainslie Racing) crews will be training wearing the new 'WING' buoyancy aid on-board the Nacra 20, AC45 and Extreme 40, trialling modifications to incorporate into the final PFDs for racing on-board the AC62 as part of our partnership as Official Supplier of Personal Protective Equipment.

Available in Cobalt Blue, Mercury Red and Black Graphite, WING and FOIL are set to become the iconic must have PFD.

Features include:

  • Low profile with low snag body fit system
  • Tapered high cut for action & mobility
  • Internal 'GRIP' print
  • Stretch mesh outer pocket with internal security pocket
  • Front & Side Zip versions
  • Articulated back panelling (FOIL)
  • Dry coated elastic side panels to reduce water absorption
  • Available in Sizes S,M,L,XL
  • 2 year warranty
