Dag Von Appen's Itaú became champion of the Expo Naval after three days of intense racing at Club de Yates de Higuerillas in Concon, Chile.

Today Horacio Pavez' Mitsubishi won the last windward - leeward course that the boats completed in Concón with a 20 knots wind that then increased to 30 knots and made it stop and cancelled the seventh race of the championship. Itaú did not finish race 6 because of an injury to Nacho Giammona, who is now in good condition and waiting to come back to La Plata, Argentina. We take this opportunity to wish him a quick recovery and to get well soon.

Second position went to Jorge Araneda' Santander who finished the championship with a total of 13 points. The podium was completed with Horacio Pavez' Mitsubishi on a total of 14 points.

The next date for the Soto 40 fleet will be Chile Sailing Week - Stage 2 of the South American Tour that will be held in Valparaiso, Chile on January 25 - 31.
