Laser Master European Championships in Belgium - Day 2

by Royal Belgian Sailing Club 2 Jul 2014 01:57 PDT

Amazing weather today, very sunny but the wind was late, so the start was postponed until 14.00 hours as we were waiting for a sea breeze to come. The current was very strong today and the wind finally picked up to a respectable 13 knots coming from NW.

Standard fleet:

Christian Pedersen from Denmark had an exceptional day and conquered the first place with a 2nd and 1st place today.

Followed by Alan Davis from Great Britain who won the first race and came in 3rd during the second race.

Third place is for Jack De Rijk from the Netherlands who sailed a consistent 4th place today.

Radial fleet:

Leading the pack is Jon Emmett from Great Britain who keeps the first place after winning both races. He is a hard nut to crack!

The Dutchman Wilmar Groenendijk is breathing in his neck at second place after a respectable 4th and 6th place today.

Fellow countryman Freek De Miranda pulled himself to a third place. He came in 8th during his first race and 4th during the second.

Tomorrow we will be having a warm and sunny day, but just a weak wind therefore the start is postponed until 14.00 hours as a sea breeze is expected.
