Members of Ullswater Yacht Club invite all racers to join them at the first open event of the year over the Easter Weekend.
The Easter Regatta will also incorporate the Navigators & General Mirror Northern Championships and the Kestrel Northern Championships.
The club is pulling out all the stops to make Easter a memorable one for racers and their families, both on and off the water.
Visitors are welcome from Thursday night and with no racing until Saturday, there's an opportunity on Good Friday to enjoy everything the most beautiful lake in Cumbria has to offer, including the adorable Easter lambs on the fells.
There will be racing for the following fleets:
- Mirrors, single and double handers welcome. Training on Friday and Saturday, racing starts on Sunday, entries on Sailscore
- Kestrels, double and triple handers welcome
- Fast handicap, to be on this start you need to be in a RS400 or faster (on PY that is). Sailed on a windward/leeward course
- General handicap, all welcome
- Junior handicap, under 15s
The sailing schedule is: Saturday - two races, first race not before 1pm (except Mirrors); Sunday - three races, first race 11am; Monday - two races, first race 11am. Five races to count.
On shore, the UYC café with its range of delicious home made food, will be open from 8.30am every day and an evening meal is planned for Friday - fish and chips; Saturday - lasagne and Sunday - roast dinner.
Entertainment includes a team games night on Saturday and an Easter egg hunt, open to all juniors (kindly sponsored by the Mirror NYDS) and fun boat drive on Sunday.
Motorhomes and tents are welcome from Thursday night.
