Soto 40 Admiral Pedro Arrieta Trophy at Club de Yates Higuerillas Preview

The seventh date of the 2013-2014 VTR Oceánico Championship will be held this weekend at the Club de Yates Higuerillas (CYH) and seven Soto 40s will be competing there; Apolonia, Entel, Itaú, Mitsubishi, Pisco Black, Patagonia and Santander.

The schedule includes 6 windward – leeward courses of 4 legs and the courses will be set in the Concón and Valparaíso bays.

Jorge Araneda's Santander is the leader of the championship until now with 120 points. Horacio Pavez's Mitsubishi is in second place (150 pts.) and Norberto Alvarez Vitale's Patagonia in third position (252 pts.)

  4 pm Race Office opening/ Registration and weighing (CYH)

• April 12
  9:30 – 11:30 am Race Office opining/ Registration and weighing (CYH)
  12:00 pm skippers meeting (CYH)
  2:30 first warning signal for the first race of the day (Concón bay)

• April 13
  Latin America's sails parade. Races after that (Valparaíso bay)
  6:30 pm awards
