Devoti D-Zero Dinghy Show offer extended

by Sue Cobb, Suntouched Sailboats 4 Mar 2014 23:48 PST 5 March 2014

Suntouched Sailboats have reported that this year's Dinghy Show has been, for them, the most successful ever.

With the launch of the Devoti D-Zero, the interest and enthusiasm was overwhelming and having the boat's designer, Dan Holman, to hand allowed even the most probing technical questions to be fully answered. Following the Dinghy Show, Devoti Sailing has reported orders to date for the new D-Zero standing at 43 boats, of which 24 are destined for the UK. Roll out for the current orders will start from 1st June 2014.

Following some discussion, Suntouched have decided to extend the Dinghy Show offer of £5,495.00, including a free launching trolley and top cover, to midnight on Sunday 9th March 2014. You can order online here suntouched.co.uk/suntouchedsailboats_065.htm. There is a deposit of £250.00 required, which is fully refundable, if after testing one of the demo boats, you decide that the D-Zero is not for you and you wish to cancel the order. Demo days will start early May 2014 and you will be able to test a D-Zero somewhere near you.

Details of the roadshow and the venues will be published shortly. If you would like Suntouched to visit your club with some demo boats please email them at . The first 50 boats offer of £ 5, 495.00 will extend also to the first 100 as the 50 limit is already close to achievement and, with the Austrian Boat show starting from 6th March, Suntouched anticipate a further significant take-up at the special offer price.

It is clear that a significant number of visitors to the Devoti stand at the Dinghy Show had been following the development of Dan Holman's Punk dinghy over the years and were excited by the early production boat. The Punk is the inspiration for the D-Zero and has the benefit of 5 years testing in all conditions, including the many winter handicap events and has also sailed around the Isle of Wight, so has tried and tested performance on the sea, as well as inland. The Punk inspired the D-Zero and the partnership between Dan and Devoti Sailing has resulted in a real 21st Century flyer!
