Last call for GJW Direct SailFest 2013

Still time to book tasters and the Raymarine Long Distance Pursuit.

Entries for the WPNSA Annual Handicap Regatta, part of GJW Direct SailFest, close tomorrow, Wednesday 21st August.

However, for those hoping to take part in this exciting inaugural event, but without 3 days to spare this year, the race officer has just extended the entry limit for the Raymarine Long Distance Pursuit Race, to be held on Bank Holiday Monday, to 120 entrants. For £27 you can enter just this final, 2½ hour race around Portland Harbour and be a part of GJW Direct SailFest 2013.

And there are still a couple of days left to book sporting activities and sportsboat trial sails.

90 minute paddlesports or windsurfing sessions or 2 hour sailing sessions take place on the water at the Academy. Or head out to the natural adventure playground of Portland to have a go at proper rugged mountain biking or rock climbing in a 3 hour experience.

The activity sessions will take place throughout the whole 4 days of the event, open to the regatta racers, family and friends and anyone local or visiting the area for the weekend. Anyone over 8 is welcome to have a go.

Key Yachting will be at SailFest from Friday afternoon through to Monday with the fledgling J/70 sportsboat. Book your trial sail online to reserve a slot - availabe for visitors to sail every day, irrespective of age or experience.
