Come and join the Olympic sailors at a fantastic party in Vassiliki bay, Lefkada, already known worldwide as one of the best locations for sailing and windsurfing in Europe.

The sixth edition of the Vassiliki Watersports Festival & International Sailing Regatta is scheduled for the last week of June and once again an amazing programme has been lined up by the organisers.

Widely supported locally by enthusiastic local authorities, this year the event's main sponsors include 3 International sailing and windsurfing clubs who are all celebrating their 25th anniversaries of their operations in Vassiliki and who have brought more than 60,000 watersports enthusiasts onto the beautiful Ionian island of Lefkas during that time.

Some of the best sailors in Greece and from abroad will be involved in the windsurfing and sailing competitions and with much of the racing being held close to the beach so that spectators will be able to enjoy the thrills and spills from a relaxed position on the beach.

Everybody that loves the beach lifestyle will be delighted to know there are some fantastic parties going on in the evenings, kicking off on Tuesday 25th June with major sponsor Wildwind Holidays hosting a beach BBQ, followed by the Official Opening Ceremony on Wednesday 26th and an evening of live jazzy funk on the harbour wall on Thursday 27th.

Then on Friday June 28th join in a Greek evening of Rebetika & local traditional music and then on Saturday 29th, the amazing Doctor Vodkatini, a nine piece jazz funk rock band well known from Athens, will play live after the medal giving ceremonies.

Something for everybody... and everybody is invited!
