Sales and Marketing Planning to lead UK marketing effort

Atlantis WeatherGear, America's fastest-growing brand of apparel for sailing and the coastal lifestyle, today announced that Sales & Marketing Planning has agreed to become the brand's sales and marketing agent in the United Kingdom.

SMP brings a wealth of experience to Atlantis having represented some of the leading technical sailing apparel brands and been instrumental in their success. In addition SMP Managing Director Simon Payne, as a winner of multiple world championships, brings his expertise to bear in reinforcing AWG's "by sailors, for sailors" athlete-driven product development process.

"We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate that SMP agreed to jump onboard." offered Atlantis Partner and Head of Marketing Bill Lynn. "The UK is a very important market for us, and our chances of achieving success there just increased exponentially."

Atlantis has been working to build brand awareness in the region with a variety of marketing initiatives including a presence at the London Boat Show and a marketing partnership with Southampton-based ISAF, the governing organization for the sport of sailing worldwide. AWG's full page ad on the back cover of Yachts & Yachting's Olympic Sailing supplement featuring the US Sailing Team (for whom Atlantis is the Official Apparel Provider) has created some buzz in the market as well.

"SMP are excited to bring Atlantis WeatherGear to the UK market, and we are looking forward to becoming part of the sales and marketing process" said Simon. "This is a fresh brand with a level of quality and innovation that we think British stockists and their customers will really appreciate. Having seen the 2013 range, we are looking forward to taking it on the road."

The Atlantis product line is available online at the Atlantis web site (www.AtlantisWeatherGear.com) and via the Atlantis WeatherGear Dealer Network.
