Blue skies, a steady force 3 and 20+ degrees made for champagne sailing conditions on the lovely Deben at Woodbridge in Suffolk. A sign of the current times was only 3 visitors joined one home boat to contest the event.

With the wind coming from the south race officer Ben Alexander ably assisted by his father was able to set a good beat down river against the tide which led to some good short taking battles.

Three races were sailed back to back and it was tight at the front with Kevin Edwards crewed by his thirteen year old daughter Ellie emerging victorious. The home boat unfortunately encountered gear failure and missed the final passage race back to the club finish line.

Overall Results:

1st 21839, Kevin and Ellie Edwards (Beccles Amateur S.C.)
2nd 23049, Brian and Linda Cumming (Dabchicks S.C.)
3rd 22912, Peter and Elaine Dolling (Dabchicks S.C.)
4th 22558, John Adcroft and Harry O'Riordan (Deben Y.C.)
