The Henri Lloyd Blue Eco Jacket and Hi-Fit has won the Practical Boat Owner magazine’s Green Awards that recognise marine businesses that have taken steps to reduce the environmental impact of leisure boating and make the industry more sustainable.

The Blue Eco Jacket and Hi Fit trousers, are recycled and recyclable, and are the showcase products in Henri Lloyd’s mission to become a more environmentally friendly company.
The new Henri Lloyd Blue Eco Jacket won its Category and the ‘Most ECO-Friendly Product Certificate’ at the 2009 DAME Awards and the addition of the PBO Green Award is further recognition of its progress in becoming a more environmentally friendly company.
Practical Boat Owner’s editor Sarah Norbury comments “Practical Boat Owner magazine’s Green Awards are a showcase for the innovative work being done by boating companies to reduce their impact on the environment. Henri-Lloyd’s Blue Eco clothing and the Greenline hybrid-powered motor yacht are proof that greener boating can be done in style. The Waveney River Centre show us that small changes in a workplace can add up to big results, and the Pangaea Explorations are inspirational in their efforts to expose the plastic waste that’s collecting on the oceans. Congratulations to all of them.”
Paul Strzelecki – Joint Chief Executive of Henri Lloyd said “we are delighted to receive the PBO magazines Green Award as recognition of the progress we are making in becoming a more environmentally friendly company and endorse PBO’s efforts in raising the importance of ‘greener boating’ to the leisure boating market.”
