Spaces available with Sailing Logic in Round Ireland Race

The multi award winning sailing school, Sailing Logic has two spaces available to compete aboard Jaguar Logic in the Round Ireland race. The Round Ireland Race is one of the offshore classics providing 700 miles of extremely competitive racing starting on Sunday 20th June in Wicklow.
Venturing into the Atlantic Ocean, the Round Ireland Race is a great test of endurance and seamanship. There is normally a good variety of conditions which often includes a downwind sleigh ride along the West Coast of Ireland. Everyone competing experiences a great sense of achievement after circumnavigating Ireland.
Sailing Logic has established itself as the UK’s most successful yacht racing school over the past few years with a string of outstanding results. 2009 was the best year to date with Puma Logic and Jaguar Logic clinching a 1st and 2nd in the Garmin Hamble Winter Series. Even more impressive was Puma Logic’s win in the RORC Cherbourg Race overall and being honoured with the Royal Ocean Racing Club ‘Yacht of the Year’ award.
For anyone wanting to learn to race or improve their racing skills at any level then Sailing Logic can deliver. All of their racing results over the past five years have been with a high percentage of novice crews. The company has introduced many new people to the sport and trained them to a high level where they have been competing against and beating some of the best teams in Europe.
Jaguar Logic, a Reflex 38 is the sister ship of the RORC’s Yacht of the Year, Puma Logic. Her pedigree includes a 2nd place in IRC1 in the 2007 Fastnet Race. The Reflex 38 is a superb offshore racing yacht, which is ideal for training newcomers to the sport. For the more experienced sailor, they provide a fast and exciting ride at a competitive level.
In keeping with Sailing Logic’s high standards they have employed the service of Round the World racing skipper James Allen to lead Jaguar Logic around the challenging race course. James Allen was the skipper aboard Me to You in the 2004/05 Global Challenge, successfully leading his team of seventeen dedicated individuals around the globe against the prevailing winds and currents.
The Jaguar Logic team are very excited about the race and raring to get started with the training and qualifying races which includes three RORC offshore races in May and June. There is a complete mix of experience levels aboard which includes newcomers to offshore racing combined with some more experienced sailors who have raced around Britain and Ireland and competed in the Fastnet race.
