Tonight seee the night race. The 12 crews won’t leave the Vieux Port before 5pm and they will come back in the middle of the night. The Grand Surprises will compete during an inshore race off the 'Calanques', in a beautiful natural place.

The competitors have never been further than the Pointe Rouge. For their first time in Marseille, the 100 competitors will remember the fantastic seashore. The first races of the World Cup were in the area of the Frioul Islands, and the final races will be contested off the 'Calanques'.

The Italian team won again the first race, a windward-leeward race. The second place of the Welsh is of note - they were tenth in the general ranking.

The second race was won by the French team from Nantes. The French chose to go along the coast whereas the other teams chose to sail offshore. They were fifth at the last buoy, but they managed to overtake the American team which was first from the beginning of the race.

The competition is almost over. Tomorrow will see the last races, and by the end of the day we will know the name of the new Student Yachting World Champion. The Italian victory is almost definite, the Czech, the French, the Irish, the Swiss and the Americans are fighting tough for the other steps of the podium.
