Brawn GP & Henri Lloyd launch official Brawn GP Merchandise

by Amy Grealish, Henri Lloyd 16 Jun 2009 19:44 AEST

Following on from the announcement of Brawn GP’s partnership with British clothing manufacturer Henri Lloyd as the Official Supplier of Clothing and Footwear Technology to the team, Brawn GP and Henri Lloyd are delighted to launch the official Brawn GP Merchandise Collection.

To celebrate the Collection launch, a replica Brawn GP Formula One car will be on display at the Henri Lloyd stores at Manchester & Liverpool, on the 19th & 20th June respectively.

The Brawn GP Merchandise Collection has been designed using Henri Lloyd’ s extensive knowledge and experience of innovative fabric technology and lifestyle apparel design and consists of seventeen items which carry the unique and distinctive Brawn GP brand. The collection includes technical jackets, the Jenson and Rubens cap and T, Women’s T and vest, Junior T and jacket and a range of accessories including wallet, lanyard, team cap and rucksack.

The Brawn GP Breeze Jacket has been developed from the Henri Lloyd current marine range. The jacket is made from the highly durable, waterproof, windproof and breathable TP1 fabric and features a lightweight mesh lining and is contoured to provide a comfortable fit, whilst the front zip fastening pockets provide secure storage.

Jenson and Rubens have lent their Formula One driver numbers to the Henri Lloyd design t-shirts and caps, which have then been further personalised by the drivers by adding their respective flags (Union Jack for Jenson and Brazilian flag for Rubens) offering Brawn GP fans the opportunity to further support the team’s drivers!

The Brawn GP Merchandise Collection is available to buy from the Brawn GP website, Henri Lloyd stores at Manchester, Liverpool & London (Carnaby Street) and at three dedicated stands during the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Graham Allen, Commercial Director at Henri Lloyd said “We are delighted with the Brawn GP Merchandise Collection, and have been thrilled with the success of the team and the response of Formula One fans to our involvement with Brawn GP this season. We wish the team, Jenson and Rubens every success during their home Grand Prix at Silverstone”

Ross Brawn, Team Principal of Brawn GP commented: “We have been very pleased with our association with Henri Lloyd this season and have worked hard with them to produce clothing which provides the highest levels of fabric technology for our demanding working environment. The same principles of design and innovation have been applied to our new Merchandise Collection. The Brawn GP team faced a race against time to complete our preparations for the first race of the season in Melbourne and we would like to thank Henri Lloyd for sharing our vision for the future of the team and their commitment in ensuring that the team’s identity will be so well reflected in our team clothing and merchandise this year.”

Heading into the team's home race, the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Brawn GP lead the Constructors' Championship with 96 points whilst Jenson leads the Drivers' Championship on 61 points with Rubens in second place with 35 points.
