Fotoboat 2008 calendar - the May image

The May picture in the 2008 Fotoboat Calendar was taken by Heather Davies, at the Starcross Steamer. Heather says “the B14 fleet renamed this event the Starcross Screamer! Strong winds blowing down the river offered spectacular sailing for those who could keep their boats upright. The antics of this particular B14 kept the spectators glued to the action, with me trying to capture the speed. This particular shot shows fast downwind action with the crew hanging on with one hand and trimming the sails with the other! Being on the water with a camera on days like this is just the best!”
