The Gull Inland Championships were held this weekend on Black Horse Broad, hosted by Horning Sailing Club. Saturday saw moderate to strong south to south-easterly winds, with lighter, but more variable winds on Sunday. Visitors to the Event came from as far afield as Cheshire, and 12 entrants competed in the weekend.

After gaining five first places, James Thomas and Honor Craig-Bennett sailing Mewa were first overall, with Jane Williams second after earning three second places, crewed by both Sarah and Grace Dugdale. Third overall, with four third places was Class Association Secretary and Event Organiser Gordon Williams, crewed by Tegan Arnold. The Horning Junior Section was ably represented by 15-year-old Tom Heaffey crewed by 13-year-old Duncan Paul sailing Bungle, who received the Trophy for Under-18’s after coming 5th overall, with two second places.
