Greenwich Yacht Club was formed in 1908 to provide leisure sailing facilities for people who worked on the River Thames. Today, membership is open to everyone. Anyone interested in joining, whether an experienced sailor or a complete novice, is welcome to first come along to Club Nights on Tuesday evenings. The club is a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre able to provide full sailing tuition, and has its own fleet of dinghies for members to use. The club also has Yacht, Motorboat and Rowing sections.
