Scammonden Water Sailing Club formed in 1971 when the M62 motorway was built and is believed to be the only reservoir with a 6 lane motorway on its dam wall and surrounded by greenbelt elsewhere.

We have a sailing area of 42 hectares water totalling 1,700 million gallons, which means we can cover plenty of water.

Our club has ample free parking, a boat park for more than 100 boats, and the clubhouse has male and female changing rooms, a bar to unwind in after a day's sail, games room and kitchen.

For sunny days, club members and families can relax in the club grounds and make use of the barbecue and play area. Join the RYA through Scammonden Water Sailing Club
