Hornsea Mere is Yorkshire's largest natural lake and is an SSSI and an SPA. It has over 250 acres of navigable water and has been the home of Hornsea Sailing Club since 1946. With a maximum depth of only 2.5 metres it is an ideal lake for beginner sailors.
