Founded in 1968 as the Stanwood-Camano Yacht Club and incorporated as a not for profit organization in 1969 just north of Seattle, Washington. In 1985 the present site was purchased. With a clubhouse and boat house located on a no-bank waterfront lot with reasonably deep water and a unobstructed view of Saratoga Passage, the Olympic Mountains, and Whidbey Island the club had at last found a home.
