IYC was founded in 1970 in Alameda, California, by a group of sailboat racers who wanted to offer the best possible value in a yacht club. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit club open to anyone interested in boating.
IYC members enjoy reciprocal privileges at yacht clubs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
