RS Sailing 2021 - LEADERBOARD
Saugatuck Yacht Club was formed in 1934 for the purpose of sharing an interest in water recreation, social gatherings, and supporting sailing education for children. SYC encourages active member participation in Club sponsored events including annual activities like the Memorial Day Burn Your Socks event along with programs like Women’s Sailing and Sunday Sailing. The SYC Clubhouse and Sailing Pavilion provide a welcome setting on the Kalamazoo Lake for families and fellowship with friends.

Approximately five hundred members serve as the pillars of SYC. The core of SYC membership is primarily interested in sailing, camaraderie, and responsible stewardship within our harbor community.

The Saugatuck Yacht Club Sailing Program (SYCSP) is dedicated to fostering multigenerational sailing students and sailing instructors, emphasizing teamwork and life skills on the water. SYCSP teaches sailors at all levels. The success of our sailing school is in the quality of lessons, equipment, and opportunities to race with the fleet. The sailing program participates in local and regional competitions as part of the West Michigan Youth Sailing Association (WMYSA).
