The SSV Oliver Hazard Perry’s lower masts (shown from below decks as they were temporarily stepped last July) are made of steel, as is its hull; however, her three top masts and 16 additional yards, booms and gaffs will be of Douglas fir and made by The Spar Shop at Grays Harbor Seaport.
