Weta fun, rum and racing at Charlotte Harbor Regatta

The fifth annual Charlotte Harbor Regatta was a great success. Luckily only two Weta guys came down from New York this year so the rest of the places were still available for the local folks.

Keith Rice (NY) ended up in first place with six wins. Richard Stephens (NY) was in second. Mike Mead from Pensacola took third, with five other locals filling out the rest of the fleet.

Daily high temperatures were around 80°, plenty of sunshine and not a drop of rain. Winds varied from zero to about 12 knots until the last race was over and we got to blast reach in with about 15 knots.

Pusser's Rum was there pouring pain killers for the one and all. They said they could probably come to Wetafest and do the same, fingers crossed!
