Hatch Brown Trophy Race Day 2 was a beautiful day for racing on the Charles River with a 10-18 knot shifty southerly breeze with gusts into the upper 20's. 10 races were run per division in FJ's and fireflies by Sailing Master Franny Charles with on the water help from MITNA member Aiden Doherty and BU sailing team member Sam Campbell in the finish boat.

Shore side operations were run by BU sailing coach Stan Shreyer and MIT coach Matt Lindblad with help from Wally Corwin and Phil Gilbert. Competitors were treated to an exciting catboat capsize and recovery operation.

Thanks to judges John Moulthrop HWS '10, Sean Bouchard RWU '12 and Matt Conover BU '07 who heard three protests, one breakdown, and one scoring inquiry resulting in two DSQ's, and one redress.

Tight racing for the top three spots and plenty of windy races tomorrow.
