Athens 204 Olympic Classes News Tornado Sport in!!

At the ISAF annual November conference in Edinburgh, Scotland which is taking place until 11th November, the Events Committee have elected that the Tornado Sport will be the new Olympic catamaran class for the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
It had already been decided that there would be a Women's Match racing class competing at the next Olympic games and this requires one of the existing Olympic classes to be dropped.
Following voting in Edinburgh yesterday, the Soling and the 49er classes were nominated as the two classes of boat that the ISAF Council will vote on tomorrow (Thursday) - dropping one in place of the women's match racing event.
