Alfa Romeo Farr 40 Summer Twilight Series

by Sam Crichton on 18 Mar 2003
Richard Perini on Corinthian Doors took the gun in race 2 and Emotional Hooligan with Neville Crichton at the helm took second place after having to restart after being a boat length over the start line with Weapon having to restart as well.

Corinthian Doors sailed a consistent race at the front of the fleet with Emotional Hooligan making up ground quickly during the race. The Nor' East breeze was 15-20 at the start of the race but started to die out during the race which resulted in the finish being moved to the top mark near the wedding cake.

The format of the series allows for a race to be dropped which is not the norm for Farr 40 racing but allows for owners to finish off the summer racing in the twilight series that can be flexible if they can't make every race.

There will be 2 more races to finish the series with the start at 6pm each night.

Pointscore after race 2:

1 Emotional Hooligan (Marcus Blackmore/ Neville Crichton) 6

2 Kokomo (Matt Allan) 6

3 Syntegra Rapscallion (Dick Voorderhake) 7

4 Corinthian Doors (Richard Perini) 8

5 Weapon (Rob Skinner) 8

6 One Step Ahead (Dennis McDonald) 9

7 Truant (Michael and Bill Quinn) 12
