The 2013 race season may feel far away as the Christmas break draws near, but it’s the perfect time to start thinking about sunny days sailing in the spring. JOG are delighted to announce that they will be adding an additional class of entry to their race calendar for 2013. Race entries will be welcome in any of the following four classes which have been created with a view to driving more competitive racing and mean there will be even more prizes to be won!

The four JOG classes for 2013 will have the following provisional IRC rating band splits:

Class 6 0.960 and below
Class 5 0.961 - 1.001
Class 4 1.002 - 1.045
Class 3 1.046 - 1.200

The 2013 season will see a mixture of inshore passage and offshore races and starts on the 29th March 2013 with a Cherbourg race. It will also feature JOG’s longest race yet, The BNY Mellon Challenge, a 1000 mile, two leg race to Cascais, Portugal ,via La Trinité in Brittany, starting 14th June 2013.

We’re looking forward to it already!

Race entry forms will be available to download from the JOG website from early February. The 2013 race programme can also be viewed here.
