America’s Cup grinder, Rob Waddell, nearest camera edges out current and then-triple world champion, Mahe Drysdale at the 1750 metre mark at Lake Karapiro, back in January 2008. Drysdale went on to repeat Waddell’s Olympic Gold Medal in 2012.
