Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofía 2007 - Day 2 results

An unusual day of competition at the 38 Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofia made it impossible to complete the scheduled programme of races. All classes sailed one race and some sailed up to two. The windshifts and the lack of wind made it difficult for the Race Committee to get races going. Rain was also present today in the bay of Palma and the day comes to an end with several protests from classes based at Club Nàutic S'Arenal.

The Finn class managed one race, won by Jonathan Loert of France, with Daniel Bergmark of Sweeden second. The RS:X boards also managed a race, won by Maksym Oberemko (UKR) in the men and Marina Alabau (ESP) in the women.

In the Star after four races, New Zealand's Hamish Pepper and David Giles have taken the lead, ahead of Rohart Xavier and Rambeau Pascal of France. While the Tornado added two races today and Australia's Darren Bundock and Glenn Ashby have the lead of the Open event, from Roman Hagara and Hans Peter Steinacher (AUT).
