Orange Speed Crossing kitesurf Pro Am - Bets are open + Video

by Mondial de Vent on 6 Apr 2012 The Orange Speed Crossing kitesurf Pro Am, a conjoined event with the PKRA Freestyle competition in Leucate, France, is being held this weekend, 7th to 15th April 2012.

This long distance race is opened to pros and thrill seekers and associates with endurance and speed skills.

This year is set to be the biggest in the events history, with over 100 kiters expressing interest in the racing alone, plus all the competitors in the PKRA freestyle event, Stand up paddling races and of course the slow old windsurfers who just want to keep up with the kites. It should prove to be a great event this year.

It willl be a fight for victory with headliners holding a number of records, like Alexandre Caizergues (third fastest man on water) or Antoine Albeau, current holder of the Speed and Slalom Windsurf Championship titles. The Moussilmani brothers, Charlotte Consorti, Rob Douglas, Sébastien Cattelan, Christophe Prin Guenon, Finian Maynard, Anders Bringdal, David Garrel or the Douglas brothers will spice up the race.
