NedShip Emax Excalibur 22m express flybridge cruiser, Solar hybrid, GM Allison, VW marine, Sunpower PV carbon epoxy exoskeleton, carbon neutral, zero carbon plug-in copy Sauter Carbon Offset Design
Sauter Carbon Offset Design presents the Net Zero 22 meter Emax Excalibur built by the Ned Ship Group; a solar hybrid Flybridge Cruiser that features a photo voltaic exoskeleton that can harvest and return to the grid enough energy per year to offset up to 3,000 nautical miles of carbon neutral cruising at 18 knots.

The Emax Propulsion System delivers the most advanced form of hybrid diesel power to date by combining the new VW Marine 350TDI V8 and the GM Allison dual mode Hybrid Transmission with Delco Remy motor/generators. The GM Allison Hybrid Transmission which was developed with 330 million dollars of DOE Grants, powers tens of thousands of hybrid trucks and buses operating in every environment from arctic to tropic locations around the world.

Richard Sauter head of design commented, 'The Emax Excalibur is the world’s first carbon neutral yacht built from molds in order to produce a semi-custom series which represents a revolutionary first step in the Maritime Industry towards the production of Post Carbon Yachts.'
