It has been a long time coming but the first event of the Alpari World Match Racing Tour has arrived! The boys arrived in Germany a few days ago and have been out training on Lake Constance on the Bavaria 40 yachts. Lake Constance is renowned for light and shifty winds; this compounded with the fact that the boats are very heavy and turn very slowly, makes Match Race Germany a tough event.
The line up for the 2014 Alpari World Match Racing Tour is highly competitive and all teams will be looking to make a stand at the first event. We are looking forward to getting out on the water for the first day of racing tomorrow and feeling confident in the large heavy boats after a few days training.
Entry list for Match Race Germany:
Francesco Bruni (ITA)
Taylor Canfield (IVS)
David Gilmour (AUS)
Bjorn Hansen (SWE)
Karol Jablonski (POL)
Carsten Kemming (GER)
Eric Monnin (SUI)
Mathieu Richard (FRA)
Phil Robertson (NZL)
Nicolai Sehested (DEN)
Keith Swinton (AUS)
Ian Williams (GBR)
