Jessica Watson to speak at Adelaide Sailing Club

by Fireball Association of Australia on 30 May 2011
Robin Inns
Jessica Watson will make her only South Australian sailing club appearance for 2011 at the Adelaide Sailing Club on Friday the 15th of July.

The event will assist in raising funds for both the South Australian Fireball Association (to help with boat transportation to the worlds) and the Fireball World Championships being held in Mandurah, Western Australia in January 2012.

Jessica is an inspiration to many people, particularly children. Her story is about much more than sailing, it is about guts, determination and a willingness to push on when at the limit.

The opportunity to hear her talk about her adventure and ask questions is an event not to be missed. We expect tickets to sell fast.

Children under 15 can attend the Jessica Watson talk and auction for only $10 with a paying adult. This includes pizza in the main bar area whilst parents enjoy their meal. This makes the event a great night for the family.

In addition to Jessica’s talk we plan to hold a sporting memorabilia auction, with gear from Jessica, Port Power, Adelaide Crows and the Australian Cricket Team on offer.

For more information and to purchase tickets see the Fireball Australia web site and contact the Australian class president Pete Crossley 0431 470 223. website here

We welcome your support.
